First Check if a PDF Page Is an Image
OCR software converts images containing text into either editable or searchable text, depending on the option selected. Before using OCR, confirm that the content is an image (i.e., not selectable with the Select Tool), as OCR only works on image-based text.
With the Select Tool enabled, try using your mouse to select a portion of the text. If the text does not highlight, it means the content is an image, and the file is ready for OCR conversion. If the text is selectable, itβs already text and cannot be processed with OCR.
