### METHOD 3 - To insert small amounts of text anywhere on the PDF, use the <font color="#fa0000">Typewriter</font> function.

## TypeWriter Settings

On the <font color="#EF4444">**HOME**</font> screen or the <font color="#EF4444">**MARKUP**</font> screen, from the ribbon menu, Select  **TypeWriter**

### Font Setting

Select the **FONT** settings you require.

### Font Color

Select the **Font Color** you require by **double clicking the color box.&#x20;**&#x20;Once the color is selected, press **OK** to continue.

### Border Setting - BEFORE text entered

You can create the Border setting BEFORE text is entered (or after - see later). Before you enter the text, select the desired border settings as needed. When you click where you are going to enter the text on the page, the border will now be displayed. The thickness can be adjusted afterwards.&#x20;

### Text Alignment

**Text Alignment&#x20;**– The alignment of text within the Typewriter box can be changed to position the text as required. Choose from left, center, or right alignment to suit the layout of the document.

## Enter the text

Click where you want to **add** the text, then type.&#x20;

### Edit the Typewriter text box

Click th&#x65;**&#x20;text** to edit. A text box will appear for making changes. Double Click the text to edit the text. The text box will disappear and you can edit the text as needed.

### Border created AFTER text has been entered

You can create a **BORDER** around the text field **after** the text has been created.To create the border after the text has been entered, **double-click the text box** to select the text and then adjust the border thickness as required.  You can also adjust the **Transparency** of the text.

**Note:** Border color will be the same as the font/text color.
