To prevent any additional issues during the uninstall process, we **recommend** that you **logout** of the program **BEFORE** you start the uninstall process.

### To Logout of the Application
Under the **FILE** tab on the ribbon menu, select **Preferences** then click the **Logout** link.
## How to Uninstall PDF Pro
### For Windows
**How to Uninstall a Program on Windows**
**Option 1:**
Uninstall from the **Start Menu** (All Apps)
Click the **Windows** **button** (Start menu) in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
Select **All Apps** to view the list of installed programs.
Scroll through the list and find the **PDF Pro** Folder, and when opened, the uninstaller button is visible. Click it to start the process. (Alternatively, Right-click the **PDF Pro** and select **Uninstall**.)

Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation.
**Option 2:**
Uninstall from **Installed Apps** via **Settings.**
Right-click the **Windows** **button** and select **Installed apps** (or Apps & Features, depending on your version of Windows).
In the list of installed apps, locate **PDF Pro**.
Click the three dots** (⋮)** next to the program’s name.
Select **Uninstall** and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
**Option 3:**
Alternatively, you can uninstall PDF Pro from the **Control Pane**l:
Using the search bar (or by pressing the **Windows** **button** ), type **Control Panel** and press **Enter**. In the **Control Panel Window**, press **Uninstall a program**.
With **Programs** selected, Under the **Programs and Features**, press **Uninstall a program**.

Find and select **PDF Pro** from the list of installed programs, then press **Uninstall**.
Follow the prompts and wait for the uninstall process to finish.

**NOTE\: For all three options, you will need to grant PDF Pro permission to run its uninstaller when prompted by a dialog box.**

### For Mac
**How to Uninstall a Program on a Mac**

**NOTE\:** On Mac systems, **Trash** and **Bin** refer to the **same folder**. The name shown depends on your selected language.

To uninstall the **PDF Pro** program on a Mac, simply drag its icon from the **Applications** folder to the **Trash (Bin)**.
**Detailed Steps:**
**Open Finder:** Locate the **Finder** icon in the **Dock** (it looks like a blue face).
**Navigate to Applications:** Click on **Applications** in the **Finder sidebar**.
**Locate the App:** Find the **PDF Pro** program within the **Applications** folder.
**Move to Trash:**
**Drag and Drop:** Click and hold the **PDF Pro** app icon, and drag it to the **Trash (Bin)** icon in the **Dock**.
**Right-Click:** Right-click the **PDF Pro** app icon and select **Move to Trash** **(Bin)**.
**Empty Trash (Bin):** Right-click the **Trash (Bin)** icon in the **Dock** and select **Empty Trash (Bin)** to permanently remove the app.
You can also right-click the **PDF Pro** app and choose **Move to Trash (Bin)**. To permanently delete the app, empty the **Trash (Bin)** by right-clicking it and selecting **Empty Trash (Bin)**.
