managing the stamp markup tool the stamp tool allows users to apply predefined or custom stamps to mark documents (e g , "approved," "confidential") it also supports annotations, enabling users to add comments to the document the stamp tool open your pdf document in the markup markup tab, click on stamp which is located in the stamp markup section stamp menu this will bring up the stamp access menu stamp access menu ❶ ❶ current stamp this is the last used stamp to apply it to the current document, simply click on the page where you want it to appear ❷ ❷ manage stamps click manage stamps to bring up the manage stamp menu manage stamps menu manage stamps menu this menu screen has 5 sections available for selecting a stamp the select , create , delete , edit and clone buttons are used to create or modify editable stamps recently used stamps that you have recently used will appear here standard stamps the are pre made, non editable stamps that cannot be deleted they are image based stamps presets these are premade templates (specific layouts), that can be edited but not deleted they are dynamic based stamps, meaning they automatically update information such as dates or user names when applied custom these are stamps that you have created create a new stamp click the create button create button this will open the menu, where you can choose either the dynamic stamp or image stamp options the dynamic stamp dynamic stamp options ❶ ❶ stamp name you can create a custom name for the stamp or allow the system to assign a name automatically ❷ ❷ stamp type image (no editable fields) or dynamic (fields automatically update information such as dates or user names when applied) ❸ ❸ text enter the text you want the stamp to display ❹ ❹ text color and font settings choose the text color, font type, and size ❺ ❺ color and border color select the fill color and border color for the stamp ❻ ❻ date choose whether to display the date and select the desired format from the dropdown menu, which appears like this ❼ ❼ identity choose whether to display the users identity from the dropdown menu, which appears like this this information is the same as what appears in the identity section under preferences identity section ❽ ❽ opacity adjust the opacity if you want the stamp to be see through and show any content underneath ❾ ❾ create cancel reset to default select cancel to exit the creation process, reset to start over, or create to save your new stamp the image stamp image stamp option ❶ ❶ stamp name you can create a custom name for the stamp or allow the system to assign a name automatically ❷ ❷ stamp type image (no editable fields) or dynamic (fields automatically update information such as dates or user names when applied) ❸ ❸ image path navigate to the location of the image file you want to use click open to add the image to the stamp ❹ ❹ width height define a custom size for the stamp’s bounding box ❺ ❺ opacity adjust the opacity if you want the stamp to be see through and show any content underneath ❻ ❻ create cancel reset to default select cancel to exit the creation process, reset to start over, or create to save your new stamp selecting a stamp click manage stamps to access the manage stamps menus for this example, scroll to the custom option custom option click on the stamp you want to use, then click select, or you can double click the stamp to select it select a stamp to use click on the document page where you want the stamp to appear stamp location the best way to deselect the stamp and return to the home screen is by pressing the esc key if required, to edit the stamp, right click the stamp and the menu will appear the modify stamp menu will appear and can be modified as required modify stamp choices annotations annotations in a pdf are comments, notes, or markings added to provide feedback or additional information without altering the original content adding an annotation to a stamp on the page once the stamp is on the page, the annotation menu box will appear as shown write the text in the space provided add annotation to see all the annotations or comments on any page(s), you can click the side menu choice show comments show comments / annotations you can lock or unlock the annotation to allow or prevent changes while creating the pdf simply click the lock annotation icon it also prevents the user from deleting the stamp on the page
